+ HTHT : Dtả HĐ xảy ra ở Qk mà ko xác định rõ thời gian:

2.+ QKT: diễn tả HĐ đã hoàn thành trong khoảng thời gian trong QK, ko còn liên quan đến HTại nữa.

+ HTHT: diễn tả HĐ đã hoàn thành trong khoảng thời gian bây giờ chưa qua.

3.HTHT: diễn tả HĐ bắt đầu trong quá khứ và còn tiếp tục đến Htại.

4.HTHT: diễn tả HĐ bắt đầu trong quá khứ và dừng lại ở lúc nói.
I haven’t seen you for ages.
5.+HTHT thường dùng với các từ như : just, ever, never, always, since, for, yet, already.
+ QKT: thường dùng với các từ như : last, ago.
